Community Outreach

Group Tours:
We can provide a variety of tours for your group. We do a walking tour of all the farm operations. Working tours are also available, to include a short, hands on experience in addition to a walking tour. The work will involve doing something that needs to be done at that time of the season, such as bed preparation in the spring, weeding or harvesting in the summer, harvesting in the fall, or building a compost pile anytime.
Other Area Farms:
We are part of a network of small-scale farmers that market locally, and we want to help provide opportunities for you to purchase foods from other local farms. Good Food Good People offers a fruit share, and they will deliver it to your vegetable share distribution site. Our neighbors, the Shannons at Weathertop Farm raise livestock (as well as the eggs for the egg share). You can go directly to their farm and purchase chicken, pork, turkey, and rabbit. We all share a common interest and reap tremendous rewards when we create and eat from a local food supply.
Scholarship Fund:
Through the generosity of CSA members, we have established a fund that allows us to give deep discounts to families on limited incomes who want to participate, but cannot pay the full price. If you would like to apply for a discount on your share, please check the application for scholarship box when you sign-up. If you have any questions about applying for this fund, please call Polly at 540-651-2046.
